Biarritz Swirl

Biarritz holds a special place in my heart ever since visiting it as a teenager with a group of school friends and my brother. We travelled the long journey from Wales down to the South West corner of France in an old vw camper. It felt like a real adventure taking in new flavours and smells, listening to French and Spanish being spoken. To this day I keep returning to this part of the world, now with my wife and daughter. It's a classy place and a place where French and Spanish influences mix together to give you the Basque! Surfing is a big part of the appeal to this part of the world, so it has it's similarities with the west of Ireland in that respect, but I think it is celebration and enjoyment of the ocean that gives it that special appeal.
