Cliffs of Moher
Cliffs of Moher
Print from the Original painting (60x40cm) of the Cliffs of Moher. The cliffs rise to a height of 702 feet (214 meters), just north of O'Brien's Tower. The tower built in 1835 by Sir Cornelius O'Brien. The closest villages are Liscannor to the south and Doolin to the north. From the cliffs and from the tower visitors can see the Aran Islands and Galway Bay. On a clear day it is possible to see the Twelve Pins mountain range to the north of County Galway ad Loop Head to the south. The cliffs rank among the most visited sites in Ireland. The cliffs have been used as a back drop inmmany music videos and films (Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and The Princess Bride)
Just below the cliffs you have the famous Irish wave "Aliens" surfed by big wave surfers from all over the world.
